Pakistan Squad For Bangladesh T20i Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which will be held exclusively at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Notably, star batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not been included in the squad, alongside key fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Haris Rauf remains unavailable after picking up a hamstring injury during the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season, while Shadab Khan is sidelined following shoulder surgery that will keep him out of action for around three months.
Another surprising omission is Hasan Ali, who despite impressive recent performances in the Vitality Blast and the last series against Bangladesh, has been left out due to county cricket commitments, according to sources.
Returning to the national side are all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz and left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem. Meanwhile, emerging pacer Salman Mirza has earned his first-ever call-up, and Mohammad Abbas Afridi, who had been recovering from injury, makes his comeback.
The squad will be captained by Salman Ali Agha, with no vice-captain named for this series.
Pakistan squad: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, and Sufiyan Muqeem.
The PCB has announced that the squad for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies will be revealed separately at a later date.
It’s worth mentioning that Bangladesh, led by Litton Das, recently toured Pakistan for a T20I series that the hosts won convincingly 3-0. That series was the debut assignment for Pakistan’s newly appointed white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson.
Following the Bangladesh tour, Pakistan will head to the West Indies for a white-ball series. The three T20Is against the Caribbean side will be played in the United States on July 31, August 2, and August 3. The ODI series that follows is scheduled for August 8, 10, and 12 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.
