Pakistan U19 Crush England by 200 Runs to Seal Dominant Series Win

WORMSLEY: Pakistan U19 wrapped up their four-match Youth ODI series against England U19 in emphatic fashion, securing a massive 200-run victory at Sir Paul Getty’s Ground on Wednesday.

Led by an unbeaten 80 from captain Farhan Yousaf and a disciplined bowling display, Pakistan posted a commanding 350 for four before dismissing the hosts for 150 in just 20.4 overs.

The result gave Pakistan U19 a 4-1 series victory, having won the opening two matches before suffering a narrow two-run defeat in the third encounter on Monday.

After being asked to bat first, Pakistan got off to a strong start and maintained the momentum throughout their 50 overs. Usman Khan and Jahangir Bilal both struck 79, while Ahmed Hussain added an impressive 63 from 53 balls.

Farhan then provided the late acceleration, smashing an unbeaten 80 from only 54 deliveries. His innings featured eight boundaries and three sixes as Pakistan finished on 350 for four.

For England U19, Subhaan Ali claimed two wickets for 55 runs from seven overs, while Ralphie Albert took one wicket.

England faced an uphill task of chasing 351 but their reply never gained enough momentum. Captain Albert provided some early resistance with a rapid 46 from 24 balls, while Isaac Mohammed scored 32.

Joe Moores made 15, while Jack Nelson and Robbie Brown contributed 21 apiece, but the home side were eventually bowled out for 150.

Ahmed Hussain completed an outstanding all-round performance by leading Pakistan’s attack with three wickets for just 16 runs in 2.4 overs. Niqab Shafiq, Mohammad Sayyam and Jahangir Bilal picked up two wickets each, while Rizwanullah took one.

Pakistan’s dominant performance brought the series to a convincing conclusion and underlined their strength across both batting and bowling departments.
