DUBAI: Arch-rivals Pakistan and India are set to clash on September 14 as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has unveiled the much-anticipated schedule for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This edition of the prestigious continental tournament will be played in the T20 format and will serve as a key preparation event for the T20 World Cup 2026, which India and Sri Lanka will co-host in February.
A total of eight teams, divided into two groups, will compete for the title. Pakistan and India have been drawn together in Group A alongside UAE and Oman, while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
The tournament will kick off on September 9 with the opening match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Pakistan will begin their campaign on September 12 against Oman before facing traditional rivals India on September 14. Their final group match will be against hosts UAE on September 17.
