PCB Announces The Schedule Of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially unveiled the schedule for the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025–26, shifting focus back to domestic red-ball cricket.
Originally planned to start in September, the country’s flagship first-class tournament was delayed due to the Hanif Mohammad Trophy, but it will now commence on Monday, 6 October, with matches being staged across four venues: Abbottabad, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Rawalpindi.
This year’s edition will be contested in a single round-robin format, featuring nine rounds and 46 fixtures from 6 October to 26 November. The season will culminate with the five-day final from 29 November to 3 December.
A total of 10 teams will compete for domestic cricket’s most prestigious crown: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, FATA, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot. Notably, FATA, Faisalabad, Karachi Blues, and Multan earned their places after finishing at the top of the recently concluded Hanif Mohammad Trophy standings.

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy remains the premier stage for Pakistan’s red-ball specialists to prove their credentials. With new challengers emerging from the second-tier competition and established sides determined to reclaim glory, this season promises intensity, rivalries, and fresh storylines.
The squads for all participating teams are expected to be revealed soon as preparations gear up for what could be one of the most competitive domestic seasons in recent memory.
