Asia Cup in Pakistan and Srilanka

Dubai: Asian Cricket Council has announced the schedule of Asia Cup 2023.

According to the Asian Cricket Council, the Asia Cup will be played from August 31 to September 17 in which teams from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal will participate along with Pakistan.

The Asian Cricket Council says that the tournament will be played under a hybrid model in which four matches of the event will be held in Pakistan and 9 matches in Sri Lanka.

Regarding the Asia Cup 2023, India’s letter of non-acceptance remains intact.

According to media reports, India is of the opinion that the Indian team will neither come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup nor play the Asia Cup in the Emirates.

Under the hybrid model, Pakistan will host the opening match of the Asia Cup while the remaining matches will be played in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will host 4 matches of the Asia Cup at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the remaining 9 matches will be played in Sri Lanka.
