Players to Watch in the Final
Conquerors:
Conquerors secured their spot in the final by topping the points table with five wins from eight games, edging ahead on net run-rate over both Challengers and Stars.
Captain Fatima Sana has been in sublime form with the bat, amassing 339 runs in seven innings, including two fifties, at an impressive strike-rate of 163.77. With the ball, she’s also made her presence felt, taking 10 wickets in eight matches at an economy of 7.08.
Supporting her in the bowling attack is leg-spinner Syeda Aroob Shah, who has also claimed 10 wickets from eight matches. Her standout performance came with figures of 3 for 24.
Fatima Sana:
“Our squad has performed consistently throughout the tournament and we’re determined to deliver a strong showing in the final. Both our batters and bowlers have stepped up, and I’m confident they’ll rise to the occasion again. Stars have been impressive as well, especially in the Qualifier, so we’re expecting a thrilling contest.”
Stars:
Although Stars also finished the group stage with 10 points, a lower net run-rate saw them contest a Qualifier against Rameen Shamim’s Challengers. They edged through with a narrow six-run win to book their place in the final.
Sidra Amin has led from the front with the bat, scoring 328 runs in nine outings, including four half-centuries. She averages 46.86 and boasts a strike-rate of 129.64.
The spin duo of Tuba Hassan and Anosha Nasir has been instrumental to Stars’ success. Both have taken 12 wickets in nine games — with Tuba operating at an economy of 5.77 and Anosha at 6.09. Paced support has come from Waheeda Akhtar, who has 10 wickets at a miserly 5.07 economy rate.
Sidra Amin:
“Our team features several young players who’ve shown tremendous character. The spinners, in particular, have been key to our campaign. We’ve already beaten the Conquerors twice in the group stage, and we’ll look to carry that momentum into tomorrow’s big match.
