BCCI Sacked National Selection Committee

After the T20 World Cup semi-final defeat by England by 10 wickets, the Indian Cricket Board dismissed the Senior National Selection Committee.

According to Indian media, the BCCI dismissed the senior national selection committee led by Chetan Sharma on Friday. The selection committee consisted of 4 members.

Along with the removal of senior selection committee members, BCCI has also invited applications for the post of national selectors.

Under the Chetan Sharma-led selection committee, India failed to reach the knockout stages of the T20 World Cup 2021 while also losing in the final of the World Test Championship.

However, after the defeat in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup in Australia, many questions were being raised on the selection committee of the Indian team.
