COLOMBO: Pakistan’s T20I skipper has voiced strong belief in his side ahead of their marquee showdown against arch-rivals India at the on Sunday.

Speaking to the media on the eve of the contest, Agha addressed the ongoing chatter around spinner ’s bowling action. He made it clear that the issue holds no weight within the camp, pointing out that the off-spinner has already been cleared twice.

“There’s no uncertainty about his action. He has been cleared, and that’s what matters,” Agha said, brushing aside the debate. “People will always have opinions, and that’s part of the game, but it doesn’t distract him.”

The captain also touched upon the spirit of the rivalry, expressing hope that the contest would be played in a positive manner. Referring indirectly to tense moments from previous meetings, he emphasised the importance of sportsmanship while maintaining that his team would respond appropriately to any situation on the field.

“We back all our players. Anyone can step up on a given day,” he remarked, adding that familiarity with local conditions has strengthened their preparation.
