England Easily Defeated Pakistan by 67 Runs and Won The Series 3-4

In the final and decisive match of the 7-match T20 series, England easily defeated Pakistan by 67 runs and won the series 3-4.

In pursuit of England’s mountain-like target of 210 runs, Pakistani batsmen could score only 142 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted overs, Shan Masood scoring 56 runs.

In the match played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan captain Babar Azam invited England to bat first after winning the toss. The English team scored 209 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, David Malan was prominent by scoring 78 runs.

Four changes were made to the national cricket team for the final T20I match against England. Wicketkeeper batsmen Muhammad Rizwan, Khushdil Shah, fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Muhammad Hasnain returned to the final XI while Muhammad Haris, Haider Ali, Aamir Jamal and Shahnawaz Dahani were rested today.

England got off to a good start against Pakistan, the two openers put on a 39-run partnership but then Alex Hales was dismissed for 18 runs. The English team suffered another loss in the form of Phil Salt, who was run out for 20, besides Ben Duckett returning to the pavilion for 30 runs. After the loss of 3 wickets on the total score of 101, Dawid Malan and Harry Brook batted responsibly and brought the team’s score to 209 runs in 20 overs.

Malan scored 78 runs off 47 balls and Harry Brook remained not out by scoring 46 runs off 29 balls. . Mohammad Wasim took one wicket for Pakistan.

In pursuit of England’s target of 210 runs, Pakistan got off to a poor start, with openers Babar Azam getting out for 4 and Rizwan scoring just one run. Pakistan suffered its third loss in the form of Iftikhar Ahmed, who returned to the pavilion after scoring 19 runs off 16 balls, besides Khushdil Shah was out for 27 runs off 25 balls and Asif Ali was out after scoring 7 runs off 9 balls. Shan Masood played an innings of 56 runs, but he also could not give the team success, in addition to this, Muhammad Nawaz scored 9 runs and Wasim Jr. went on to score 5 runs.

Pakistan scored 142 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, so the English team won by 67 runs and won the series 3-4. It should be noted that the first 4 matches of the series of seven T20 matches between Pakistan and England were held in Karachi while three matches were held in Lahore.
