HBL PSL 2026-29 Media Rights Set to Be Pakistan Cricket’s Biggest Broadcast Deal Ever at Rs 26 Billion

The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially completed the bidding process for the television and live streaming rights of the Pakistan Super League for the 2026 to 2029 cycle.

The process resulted in a record breaking financial offer, the highest ever secured for media rights in the history of Pakistan cricket. In keeping with its transparent bidding policy, the PCB had announced a reserve price before opening the financial proposals. Walee Technologies went beyond that benchmark with a historic bid of PKR 26.11 billion.

The new rights structure combines television and digital streaming coverage within Pakistan under one framework, aiming to deliver broader access and an improved viewing experience for millions of fans across the country.

This record valuation highlights the tremendous growth of the HBL PSL over the past decade and reinforces its position as Pakistan’s premier T20 competition with strong commercial appeal and brand value.

Once formally executed, the four year agreement will cover the 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029 editions of the league, setting a new benchmark for broadcast deals in Pakistan cricket and strengthening the league’s standing as one of the most attractive T20 properties in the region.

HBL PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer described it as the largest broadcast agreement ever secured in Pakistan cricket. He said the significant rise in the league’s commercial assets reflects its consistent growth, credibility and reputation as a world class tournament. He added that combining television and streaming rights will allow fans to enjoy an enhanced HBL PSL experience across multiple platforms with new innovations introduced over time.

Walee Technologies Chief Executive Muhammad Ahsan Tahir said the company is proud to have submitted a record offer for the television and streaming rights in Pakistan. He stated that the partnership goes beyond a traditional broadcast agreement and aims to build a modern digital sports ecosystem that connects fans, creators, publishers and brands on one platform.

He added that the vision is to create more engagement opportunities for supporters, greater value for brands and meaningful participation for all stakeholders, while thanking the Pakistan Super League for placing its trust in Walee’s long term vision for Pakistan cricket.
