Najam Sethi Out Of Chairman Race

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chief Najam Sethi has dropped out of the race for the chairmanship of the cricket board.

There was a dispute between the PML-N and the People’s Party over the issue of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board for the past several days. While the People’s Party said that Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf has the right, if the government wants to keep Najam Sethi, then he should be posted elsewhere.

However, now Najam Sethi has ruled himself out of the race for the chairmanship of the Cricket Board.

In a statement on social media, Najam Sethi wrote that I do not want to cause conflict between Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Zardari, such instability is not good for PCB either, in the current situation, I am not a candidate for the chairmanship.

Salaam everyone! I don’t want to be a bone of contention between Asif Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif. Such instability and uncertainty is not good for PCB. Under the circumstances I am not a candidate for Chairmanship of PCB. Good luck to all stakeholders.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon nominate two names to the governing board for the PCB chairmanship, paving the way for Zaka Ashraf after Najam Sethi pulled himself out of the race.
