Pakistan Bowlers Had No Answer To Salt’s Counter Attack

In the sixth match of the 7-match T20 series, England defeated Pakistan easily by 8 wickets to level the series 3-3.

Pakistan’s target of 170 runs was achieved by the English batsmen only in the 15th over, Phil Salt played an aggressive innings of 87 runs off 41 balls.

In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, England captain Moeen Ali won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan scored 169 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Babar Azam was outstanding by scoring 87 runs.

Two changes were made in the national cricket team, fast bowler Shahnawaz Dhani returned to the final XI while wicketkeeper Muhammad Haris played his first T20 International match today. Muhammad Rizwan and Haris Rauf were rested today.

Pakistan didn’t get off to a good start against England, with T20 debutant Mohammad Haris getting out for 7 and new batsman Shan Masood getting out for zero. Pakistan suffered its third loss in the form of Haider Ali, he returned to the pavilion after scoring 14 runs, while Iftikhar Ahmed got out after scoring 31 runs. Apart from this, Asif Ali scored 9 runs and Muhammad Nawaz scored 12 runs.

Captain Babar Azam once again played a brilliant innings and took the team’s score to 169 in the allotted overs, Babar was outstanding with 87 runs off 59 balls. David Wiley and Sam Curran took 2 wickets each for England.

Babar Azam equaled Virat Kohli’s record of fastest 3000 runs in T20 Internationals. Babar Azam completed three thousand runs in the 81st innings of his career in the sixth T20 match against England. He crossed this milestone by taking the 52nd run of the innings. Earlier, Virat Kohli also scored three runs in 81 innings.

In pursuit of Pakistan’s target of 170 runs, the English team started quite aggressively, the English team scored 82 runs for the loss of one wicket in the first powerplay (6 overs). This is the highest score made by any team in the first power play of a T20 match against Pakistan.
