Pakistan Clean Sweap Against Srilanka

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the second and final Test to sweep the two-Test series.

In the second innings, the Pakistani bowlers completely overshadowed the Lankan Tigers and the entire Sri Lankan team was bundled out for 188 runs. On behalf of Pakistan, Noman Ali showed a brilliant performance and dismissed 7 players while 3 wickets went to Naseem Shah.

In the second innings for Sri Lanka, Angelo Mathews scored 63 runs while captain Dimuth Karunaratne scored 41 runs and Nishan Madushka scored 33 runs.

On the fourth day of the second test, the national team declared the innings at 576 runs, Salman Ali Agha scored 132 runs while Mohammad Rizwan remained not out by scoring 50 runs.

Third day’s play…

When the third day of the Test ended, Pakistan scored 563 runs for the loss of 5 players in the first innings and had a lead of 397 runs in the first innings against Sri Lanka.

On the third day of the game, the position of Pakistan remained stable thanks to the wonderful double century of Abdullah Shafiq, the opener of the national team, Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed after playing a brilliant innings of 201 runs.

Saud Shakeel 57, Shan Masood 51 and Babar Azam scored 39 runs, Sarfaraz Ahmed 14 and Imam-ul-Haq scored 6 runs, Srilankan pacer Asitha Fernando took 3 and Prabhath Jayasuriya took 2 wickets.

On the third day, Mohammad Rizwan was included in the final XI in place of wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed under the concussion law.

The Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 166 runs in their first innings.

It should be noted that in the first test played in Galle, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets.
