Pakistan To Travel To World Cup With Written Guarantee On Champions Trophy
Regarding Pakistan’s participation in the ICC World Cup in India, the Indian media has claimed that if the Indian Cricket Board gives a written guarantee, Pakistan will come to India to play the World Cup.
Indian media say that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will ask the top official of the Indian board, Jay Shah, for a written guarantee of participation in the ICC Champions Trophy. PCB Chairman Najam Sethi will take a written guarantee before sending the team for the World Cup.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is hosted by Pakistan. According to Indian media, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Jay Shah has not confirmed the hybrid formula for the Asia Cup, Najam Sethi is meeting ACC and ICC officials in Dubai next week.
According to the Indian media, Najam Sethi will also lobby that Pakistan will not go to play the World Cup in India until the ICC and the Indian board give a written guarantee.
