Pakistan vs India on 8th October in Ahmedabad

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 between the arch rivals will be played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to Indian Express reports, the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium for the India-Pakistan World Cup, in which more than 1 lakh fans can enjoy live cricket matches.

Reports have revealed that the Indian Cricket Board may announce the World Cup schedule at the end of the ongoing IPL season.

Pakistan may play its World Cup matches in Chennai and Bengaluru due to security reasons, while the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata is also being considered as a possible venue for Pakistan’s matches.

On the other hand, Chairman PCB Management Committee Najam Sethi has said that according to the national aspirations regarding the Asia Cup and the World Cup, they will adopt a categorical position.

Earlier, the Indian board has refused to send its team to Pakistan in the Asia Cup, on which Pakistan has taken a strict stand and said that if the Indian team does not visit Pakistan, it is not possible for the green shirts to participate in the World Cup.

PCB says that the Pakistani team is facing security issues in India, so government clearance will be required to send its team.

It should be noted that the schedule of ICC mega events is released a year in advance, the dates and venues of the previous World Cup matches in England and Wales in 2019 were also announced 12 months ago, but this time due to the complicated situation. Due to this, unusual delays are being observed.

It should be remembered that the last time the two teams faced each other on Indian soil was in the year 2016.
