PSL 11 Trophy Revealed as League Prepares for Historic Season
KARACHI: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday revealed the dazzling “Infinity” trophy for its upcoming 11th edition during a ceremony held at the National Bank Stadium.
The league unveiled the silverware through a 47-second video shared on its official social media accounts, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the process behind crafting the trophy.
The newly designed piece features a refined and contemporary look, highlighted by a tall golden structure emerging from a circular base. The central section is embellished with shimmering crystals arranged vertically, creating a sparkling effect when light reflects off the surface. Two curved golden extensions rise gracefully from either side and join near the top.
Crowning the trophy is a crescent and star motif inspired by the emblem on Pakistan’s national flag. The crescent is decorated with small crystals, while a polished metallic star sits slightly above it, forming a distinctive and symbolic finish.
The base of the trophy is gold-plated and placed on a black cylindrical pedestal carrying the PSL branding.
The upcoming edition of the tournament will feature eight teams, including the newly added Pindiz and Hyderabad Kingsmen, competing in a total of 44 matches scheduled from March 26 to May 3.
The tournament will begin with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in the opening match at the Gaddafi Stadium on March 26.
According to the tournament schedule, every team will play 10 matches during the league stage, after which the top four sides will progress to the playoffs. The knockout phase will include Qualifier 1, Eliminator and Qualifier 2, culminating in the final at Gaddafi Stadium on May 3, with May 4 reserved as a backup day.
The season will also include six double-headers, three of which will be staged in Lahore.
Matches for the 11th edition will be held across six venues in the country. In addition to Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi, the cities of Faisalabad and Peshawar will host PSL fixtures for the first time.
