Questions Raised On Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Fitness

Shaheen Shah Afridi was played with incomplete fitness and questions started to arise.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was injured during the Sri Lanka tour, joined the Pakistan squad in Brisbane ahead of the T20 World Cup after completing rehab in London. The pacer also bowled in the warm-up matches against England and Afghanistan on Sunday. In the match against India, he gave 34 runs in 4 overs and could not take any wicket.

Looking at his performance, former cricketers are talking about playing him with incomplete fitness. In a TV program, Waqar Younis said that during the triangular series in New Zealand, I was there with the medical panel and the captain. Babar Azam was asked that if you are taking Shaheen Shah Afridi to the World Cup, why is he not playing in the triangular series? No matter how much you bowl in the nets, the real test is in the match.

Wasim Akram also agreed with Waqar Younis and said that Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled only 6 overs in the practice matches before the World Cup.

Aqib Javed said that Shaheen Shah Afridi did not give 100% performance in the match, it has to be seen that the pacer is not fully or he was being careful because after a knee injury a fast bowler is either fully fit or not. Aqib said i asked Shaheen in PSL that if he is not fit then don’t play but he said that he will play, he was not looking fit in the match against India, he was also finding it difficult to run.
