Trying To Get Back To My Full Fitness – Shaheen Afridi

Pakistan team’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has said that he is trying hard to get back to his full fitness but match fitness is completely different.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, in an interview with Cricinfo after the first victory in the T20 World Cup, said that it is difficult to come back after 3 months, recovering from injury and show full strength immediately.

He said that it is not easy to recover from a knee injury and come back and God forbid that any player should suffer from such an injury, but players who suffer from this injury surely know how difficult it is.

Shaheen Shah Afridi clarified that trying to give my 100% performance during the match and I think my bowling pace is same like before as my average speed was always around 135-140 kmph.

It should be noted that in the first two matches of the World Cup, the national fast bowler was not able to get any wickets while he also gave more runs. He managed to get a wicket in the third match against the Netherlands.
