We Were Scared Before 92 Final But These Boys Are Brave – Rameez Raja

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has said that we were a little scared before the 1992 final but these boys are brave and not taking pressure.

Chairman PCB has reached Melbourne to watch the final of the Twenty20 World Cup. He met the Pakistani team after reaching the ground.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja said that the team has worked hard and the Netherlands has also done some work, but the team which has the right intentions is supported by nature.

He said that if the final was with India, it would have been a big final. We have recently played a home series against the England team.

Chairman PCB said that the team keeps going up and down, even in difficult situations Pakistan team is becoming one, the fans have a lot of hope from this team.

He said that he did not go to the ground after winning the 1992 final, he will see the ground today after 30 years.

Ramiz Raja added that before the departure of the World Cup, I had said that this team can win the World Cup, my statement was not well understood, but the team has to dream.

He said that there were so many WhatsApp messages regarding Babar Azam and Rizwan to replace them, this is the number one pair, it should not be broken, the performance keeps going up and down, I did one thing that I did not screw up this team.

He said that on the occasion of meeting with the players, he shared the memories of 1992 with them, repeated the speech of Imran Khan, the captain of 1992, and told the players that this opportunity might not come again, so give their hundred percent on the ground.

Ramiz Raja said that he has told every player including Babar Azam that such opportunities are rare in life, he will not get the best chance to win the World Cup.

Ramiz Raja further said that I don’t watch TV shows but I get knowledge, I take criticism positively, criticize but keep my hands up, everyone has their own opinion which I respect but it should not be an agenda based show or opinion.
