When Saqlain and Babar Told Me About My Debut I Started Crying ; Amir Jamal

Fast bowler Amir Jamal, who made his international debut in the fifth T20 match against England and successfully defended 15 runs in the last over, says that his dream of representing the country has come true.

All-rounder Aamir Jamal while speaking in Geo News said that he controlled his nerves in the last over. “I was sure that if more than 10 runs were needed, I would be able to defend,” he said.

Aamir Jamal said that before every match in Karachi, i used to sleep with this mindset that the next day is my debut and I have to do this, but I was told last night that I am debuting and When Babar Azam and Saqlain Mushtaq told me, I started crying.

He said that Ben Stokes is my ideal all-rounder, while I am inspired by Wasim Akram in bowling, I look up to Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in individual batting from whom I can learn.

It should be noted that in the fifth T20 of the 7-match series, Pakistan defeated England by 6 runs after an interesting match and took a 2-3 lead in the series. Chasing the target, the English team needed 15 runs in the last over, Pakistan’s debutant Aamir Jamal successfully defended the runs and gave the Green Shirts a 6-run win. In pursuit of Pakistan’s target of 146 runs, English batsmen could score 139 runs for 7 wickets.
