PCB Unveils Revised HBL PSL 11 Schedule
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a revised schedule for the 11th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League, scaling down its operational plans in line with the government’s austerity and resource conservation measures.
Under the new plan, the number of venues has been reduced from six to two, with Lahore and Karachi set to host all matches of the tournament.
A total of 44 matches will now be played over 39 days, with each city staging 22 games. The opening fixture between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Lahore Qalandars will take place as originally scheduled. Lahore has been assigned the Eliminator 1, Eliminator 2 and the final, while Karachi will host the Qualifier.

This season will be conducted without spectators, as the tournament temporarily shifts to a watch from home model. To enhance fan engagement, the board has planned improvements in broadcast and production quality to ensure a stronger viewing experience for audiences across the country and worldwide.
PCB officials stated that while the absence of crowds will be felt, the decision was taken in view of national priorities. It was estimated that managing an average of 30,000 spectators along with operational staff on a daily basis for over a month would have placed additional strain on energy resources.
Restricting the event to two cities is also expected to significantly reduce travel, accommodation and utility requirements associated with a multi city tournament.
The board reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high quality cricket while aligning with national interests, adding that the league will continue to represent the strength and unity of Pakistan’s sporting landscape.
