Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi says that I have a good relationship with Asian Cricket Council President Jay Shah, there is information that he wants to become the head of ICC.
In an interview given to foreign media, Najam Sethi said that in which country the Asia Cup will be played, this question should be asked to Jay Shah.
He said that the PCB had taken a stand in the Asian Cricket Council, why is Jay Shah not announcing the final decision regarding the Asia Cup? It is not the PCB but the Indian Cricket Board that is being stubborn. We said that Pakistan will play in India if Indian team also visits Pakistan.
Najam Sethi said that Pakistan went to play India several times after 2008, Pakistan proved India’s hospitality in 2008, cricket was not stopped at the time of riots in Delhi, Pakistan’s security has improved, all big teams came to Pakistan and played. Yes, the teams visiting Pakistan are not fools, if other sports teams from India can play in Pakistan, then what is wrong with cricket?
The Chairman PCB Management Committee said that Pakistan will also demand special security while visiting India, if they play politics then Pakistan-India cricket will not work, and suggested a hybrid model to continue the cricket between Pakistan and India.
Najam Sethi said that the day India is willing to come to Pakistan, all the problems will be solved. If India does not play in Pakistan, then it should play at a neutral venue.
During the interview, Najam Sethi said that the solution of the hybrid model will remove the politics between Pakistan and India, there is no problem with playing in Ahmedabad, Asian Cricket Council asked to reply by May 15, Bangladesh during ACC meeting said that there will be no Asia Cup without Pakistan.
