Babar Should Focus More On Test and ODIs – Shahid Afridi
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Khan Afridi has suggested Babar Azam to leave T20i Captaincy and focus on Test and ODIs
In a private TV program, Shahid Afridi was asked about Babar Azam leaving PSL franchise Karachi Kings to join Peshawar Zalmi, to which he gave a detailed answer.
Shahid Afridi said that ‘Babar had some problems with Karachi Kings and maybe he was not happy in that team, I think Babar needs to take a decision regarding his captaincy’.
The former captain said ‘I think Babar should focus more on his batting, lead the team in Tests and ODIs and give the responsibility of T20 to someone else’.
He said, “I have a lot of respect for Babar Azam, as a cricketer I like him a lot and want him to have as little pressure as possible. There are guys in the team who can captain T20 side very well like Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaan Masood.
It should be noted that in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League, Babar Azam will be seen playing for Peshawar Zalmi, while Shoaib Malik will play for Karachi Kings.
