ICC Changed The Rules For Worldcup Final

The ICC Event Technical Committee has changed the rules to make the T20 World Cup final between Pakistan and England productive.

The final of the T20 World Cup between Pakistan and England will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, but the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Melbourne on Sunday and Monday.

The Event Technical Committee has changed the playing conditions to make the T20 World Cup final decider and extended the extra time from 2 hours to 4 hours in case of no result on the reserve day i.e. Monday.

ICC says that every effort will be made to complete the match on Sunday itself, in case of rain the match will be started on Monday at 3 o’clock on the reserve day.

According to the Event Technical Committee, a minimum of 10 overs is required for each side in the knockout stage matches of any tournament and any decision regarding completion of the match will be taken on the day of the match.

According to ICC, to complete the final of the T20 World Cup, decisions will be taken on Sunday itself whether to reduce the number of overs to complete the match or if the match is not possible on Sunday, then the match will be played on the next day.
