India A Beat Pakistan Shaheens

India A defeated Pakistan Shaheens by 8 wickets in the Emerging Asia Cup match. Pakistan Shaheens were bowled out for 205 runs in 48 overs. India A reached the required score in the 37th over with just two wickets to spare, with Sai Sudharsan’s century the highlight.

In the match played at Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Pakistan Shaheens captain Muhammad Haris won the toss and decided to bat first, but at the end of four overs, 2 of his players were dismissed for 9 runs. Saim Ayub was dismissed for no runs after facing e11 balls. Umair bin Yusuf also got out without scoring any runs after playing 4 balls. Sahibzada Farhan and Haseebullah added 36 runs in the third wicket partnership. Sahibzada Farhan got out after scoring 35 runs with the help of eight fours. Haseebullah and Kamran Ghulam added 32 runs to the score. Kamran Ghulam managed to score 15 and Haseebullah 27 runs.

Captain Muhammad Haris got out after scoring 14 runs, then the score of Pakistan Shaheens was only 95 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. On this occasion Qasim Akram. Responsible batting by Mubasir Khan and Mehran Mumtaz improved the team’s position. Qasim Akram played an important innings of 48 runs with the help of five fours. He added 53 runs in the seventh wicket partnership with Mubaser Khan. Mubasir Khan scored 28 runs which included four fours. Mehran Mumtaz scored an unbeaten 25 runs with a six and a four and added a valuable 43 runs in the eighth wicket partnership with Qasim Akram. Rajvardhan Hungergakar took 5 wickets for 42 runs.

India’s openers Abhishek Sharma and Sai Sudharsan gave a 58-run start. Sharma was bowled by Mubasir Khan for 20 runs but a 99-run partnership between Sai Sudharsan and Nikin Jose made it easy for his team to win. Nikin Jose was dismissed for 53 runs which included seven fours. Sai Sudharsan played a brilliant innings of 104 not out off 110 balls which included 10 fours and 3 sixes. Captain Yash Udhal remained unbeaten on 21 runs which included two fours and a six.

This is India’s third win in a row while this is Pakistan Shaheen’s first defeat, having previously beaten Nepal and UAE A.

Pakistan Shaheens and India A have already qualified for the semi-finals. Pakistan Shaheens will face Sri Lanka A in the semi-finals on July 21, while India A will face Bangladesh A.
