Jay Shah Accepted Hybrid Model For Asia Cup

According to senior sports journalist Abdul Majid Bhatti, The Indian Cricket Board accepted the proposal of Pakistan’s hybrid model to participate in the Asia Cup cricket tournament.

Sources say that the Indian Cricket Board has agreed to play the Asia Cup under Pakistan’s hybrid model.

Sources say that Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah has accepted PCB’s proposal, under the hybrid model, 4 matches of the Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan and the rest at neutral venue.

According to the sources, the neutral venue has not been decided yet, the announcement is expected in a day or two.

It should be noted that the news came out yesterday that the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) will conditionally accept the hybrid model in which India has stipulated that Pakistan should give a written assurance to participate in the World Cup in India.

Under the hybrid model, India will play the Asia Cup at a neutral venue and the neutral venue could be the UAE or Sri Lanka.

It should be noted that the ICC World Cup is to be played in India this year, but before that, the Asia Cup will be hosted by Pakistan, in which India refused to participate, after which Pakistan also refused to go to India to participate in the World Cup. However, discussions are ongoing between the two boards on the hybrid model proposed by Pakistan.
