One More Good Partnership and England Will Be in Pressure – Rizwan

Multan: Pakistan cricket team vice-captain Muhammad Rizwan says that if our batsmen makes another good partnership then there will be pressure on England, there will be an opportunity to watch a good match.

Mohammad Rizwan said that it is not easy to achieve the target of more than three hundred runs, this thing is always in the mind, but the way we are playing and if our batsmen follow a plan, we can achieve the target. Yesterday the plan was made in mind that if we target within 350 or 360 then we will have a chance.

Mohammad Rizwan said that we have achieved the similar target in Sri Lanka in the past, when England were batting we were trying to restrict them around 350, England bowled well and our wickets fell early but then we had one good partnership and now our position is above them.

The wicketkeeper-batsman said that the England team plays in a different style, they take an aggressive approach as soon as they come, the England team is attacking us with the fielding, we have to play over them, we also attacked them this morning and we got early wickets.

Rizwan said that Imam-ul-Haq was not available so the coach and captain asked me to open, I immediately replied that I am ready, I was trusted and I also expressed my happiness for opening. It’s difficult to open in Test cricket but I feel happy about it, the ball I got out on was really a wonderful ball, when I came to the dressing room, Naseem Shah said it felt like we were playing in England with Duke’s ball.

He said that I had no answer to that ball, maybe there was something lacking in me that I got out on ball like that. Maybe England’s bowlers used cracks on the pitch. Their bowling is the best Test bowling in the world, they dismissed Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafiq on world class balls.
