Pakistan ODI Squad To Be Announced Today

After the Test series between Pakistan and New Zealand, a series of three ODIs will be played.

The Interim Selection Committee has announced the names of 24 probable players for the ODI series, but the final team will be announced today.

According to the statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Interim Chief Selector Shahid Afridi will announce the ODI team during the tea break on the fourth day of the ongoing Karachi Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand.

The three ODI matches between Pakistan and New Zealand are part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In the Super League, Pakistan is currently sixth and New Zealand is second.

The ODI matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played on January 9, 11 and 13 in Karachi.

The initial squad announced includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Amir Jamal and Haris Rauf.

Apart from this, Hasan Ali, Ehsanullah, Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Qasim Akram and Salman Ali Agha are also part of the announced squad. Shadab Khan, Shahnawaz Dhani, Shan Masood, Sharjeel Khan, Tayyab Tahir, Muhammad Hasnain, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail are also part of the squad.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Afridi (injured) and Zahid Mehmood, who were in the ODI series against Netherlands, are not among the possible players.
