Pakistan Not To Play in Ahmedabad

The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed reservations about playing World Cup matches in Ahmedabad.

According to Indian media, BCCI wants to schedule Pakistan’s match against India at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In a report published in the Indian media, quoting senior PCB sources, it is said that Najam Sethi has made it clear to ICC Chairman Greg Barclay that the Pakistan team will not travel to Ahmedabad in the World Cup 2023 event to be held in India.

No matches will be played except the final match, Pakistan does not want its matches to be scheduled in Ahmedabad but if we have to play any final match there then there is no objection.

According to Indian media, Pakistan had previously expressed its desire to play the scheduled matches of the World Cup in Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Najam Sethi has requested the ICC that ‘if the government allows the Pakistan national team to go to India for the world events scheduled in October and November, then Pakistan’s matches should be scheduled in Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata’. It should be noted that last week Najam Sethi and the heads of ICC had a meeting in Lahore.

On the other hand, India has refused to come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in September. There are chances that Pakistan will not go to India for the World Cup.
