Pakistan Team To Travel India For World Cup

The government of Pakistan allowed the national team to go to India for the Cricket World Cup.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Pakistan has always maintained that sports and politics are separate and Pakistan-India relations should not come in the way of international sports.

The Foreign Office said that Pakistan has security concerns in India and will inform the ICC and the Indian government about the concerns.

The Foreign Office said that it is hoped that the Pakistan team will get full security in India.

According to the spokesperson, Pakistan’s decision is a reflection of constructive and responsible attitude. Earlier India had refused to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

It should be noted that an important meeting of the committee regarding the visit of the national team to India was held under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The meeting was held after a letter from the PCB seeking permission for the national team to participate in the World Cup in India.

The ICC World Cup will be played in India from October 5 and Pakistan will play its first match against the Netherlands on October 6.

The match between Pakistan and India is scheduled on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
