PCB Offered Monthly Retainership of Rs 45 Lakh To Top Cricketers

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has offered a monthly retainership fee of Rs 45 lakh to top cricketers including national cricket team captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

According to Express News, under the previous contract, the monthly compensation of red ball players was Rs 10 lakh and white ball was Rs 9 lakh, but now Chairman Zaka Ashraf has assured a substantial increase in salaries for the players.

Earlier, the fee was increased by 10% in the previous contract, Test match fee 8 lakh 38 thousand 530, One Day International 5 lakh 15 thousand 696 while T20 international fee was 3 lakh 72 thousand 75 rupees, which is to the players of all categories.

On the other hand, in the contract of the board, A category players were allowed to participate in NOC of one league per year, B category two leagues and C category three leagues per year.

The top officials of the board are aware of the fact that due to non-participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistani cricketers are not able to earn like other top stars of the world, 100% compensation is not possible, but the board wants them to should also be given a large sum of money which will provide financial comfort.
