Send Haris As An Opener With Rizwan: Shahid Afridi’s Advice To Babar

Former captain Shahid Afridi has advised the national team captain Babar Azam regarding the top order.

Shahid Afridi mentioned Babar Azam on Twitter and released a message for Pakistan after reaching the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

The former captain wrote ‘Pakistani team needs a power hitter in the top order, we need clear thinking batsmen like Haris and Shadab Khan’.

Shahid Afridi wrote, ‘Please consider opening Haris with Rizwan and you yourself at number three and send your best hitter after that’.

@babarazam258 we need fire power at the top with batters who are showing clear intent like Haris and Shahdab. Plz consider Haris opening with Riz and you one down followed by ur next best hitter. You should be rigid on winning the match and flexible on a balanced batting line up

He advised the captain that ‘you need a balanced batting order and a bit of flexibility to win matches’.

It should be noted that Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals by defeating Bangladesh by 5 wickets.
