Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Road To Recovery

Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi says that the time during the injury was very difficult and exhausting, staying in a room alone for more than 2 months and then going through the rehab process was a difficult task.

Shaheen Shah Afridi told his story in an interview with Haris Rauf on PCB Web, Shaheen Shah Afridi said that whatever difficulties come from Allah, He was sure that this difficult time would pass.

According to Shaheen, he hoped that I would make a comeback and the target was to participate in the World Cup and join the team. All the players of the Pakistan team were in touch with him during the injury.

Shaheen Shah Afridi said that the team was playing well in his absence which boosted his morale even more that the Pakistan team does not depend on one player and the way Haris Rauf bowled in his absence was commendable.

He said that in the beginning, he was not even able to walk, so running was a distant thing, first he started walking a little, then he started walking fast, then he started doing light running and then slowly he started the process of bowling.

During the conversation, Haris Rauf also praised the courage of Shaheen Shah and said that he came back to the team after getting rid of such a big injury is incredible. Haris also told that he used to take advice from Shaheen on how to bowl before every match.
