Stay Order On Chairman PCB Election

The Balochistan High Court stopped the elections for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman.

Former PCB Management Committee member Gul Muhammad Kakar challenged the elections, which was heard by Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Amir Nawaz.

The High Court has ordered to stop the election of Chairman PCB till July 17.

The Balochistan High Court issued notices to the parties including the Prime Minister, Ministry of IPC, Zaka Ashraf.

A two-member bench of the Balochistan High Court issued the decision.

It should be noted that after the completion of the term of the PCB Management Committee, the Acting Chairman is now the Election Commissioner.

The election of the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, scheduled for June 27, has been postponed.

A few days ago, the PPP had demanded that Zaka Ashraf be made the chairman of PCB, after which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the names of Zaka Ashraf and Mustafa Ramde for the Board of Governors for the appointment of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman.

It is being shown that former chairman Zaka Ashraf will once again take over the post of chairman PCB.
