Shahid Afridi Backs Fakhar Zaman For T20 WorldCup

Former captain of Pakistan cricket team and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has discussed about Shoaib Malik and Fakhar Zaman.

In an interview, Shahid Afridi praised Fakhar Zaman while talking about the middle order performance. He said that with the return of Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and the management will have more confidence in Fakhar than Shan Masood and Asif Ali. No player in Pakistan is as consistent as Muhammad Rizwan.

According to Shahid Afridi, if Fakhar Zaman is fit, then he can be sent as an opener but if not as an opener then he can be sent at number three, for Fakhar, one of Shan Masood and Asif Ali can be seated.

Shahid Afridi further said that when the management gives chance to new boys and they fail to perform, then the old boys are remembered like today people remember Shoaib Malik because no one is performing like used to perform in middle order. It has been, as now people are remembering Fakhar, people even say the same about me that I am fit and can play but Iam retired.
